About this organisation
We know that community and belonging are essential to maintaining good mental health, especially within the GSRD (Gender, Sex and Relationship Diverse) community. Transgender people are facing deeply challenging times currently. Rooted and Rising exists to offer a space of care, understanding, and solidarity in the midst of those challenges.
Grounded in the values of authenticity, compassion and care, this group offers a place to be seen, heard, and supported without judgement. Together, we explore the challenges and joys of living as our true selves, while nurturing the strength that comes from being deeply rooted in who we are.
Whether you’re just beginning your journey or well along your path, Rooted and Rising is a space to grow at your own pace, among others with lived experiences.
To help make therapeutic support more accessible, Rooted and Rising is offered at a lower-cost rate than individual therapy. Our goal is to create an affordable, welcoming space where everyone feels valued and supported.
